You first need to open an account with MISUMI. Go to Open an Account to download the necessary forms, or call customer service at +44 (0) 1784 465530 to have them faxed to you. We will start the account set-up process as soon as we receive your completed application.

I have a catalogue with Japanese yen pricing. What is the conversion rate to EURO?

The general conversion rate is 1 EURO = 100 Yen. This rate may change at any time without notice.

When can you ship the products?

Production timeOur catalogues show delivery times, simply look for the icon of a delivery van and you will see the number of days required. If you are looking at a catalogue with EUR pricing, the shipping date is the number of days shown in the catalogue between acceptance of your PO until delivery of the goods. If you are looking at a catalogue with Japanese Yen pricing, then the shipping date is the number of days shown in the catalogue plus 5 days after your PO has been accepted. Days are counted as the number of days after the order date until you receive your goods. These delivery times are limited to domestic deliveries in the United Kingdom. Please contact us for the correct additional days for other countries inside Europe.

Can I order an item not listed in your catalogues?

If you want our product in a size or version not listed in our catalogs, send us the Special Request Form via on-line or fax at +44 (0) 1784 466695. Include information such as :

- What the item is
- How many you need
- Special requirements (in case of MISUMI items)
- Part number and description (in case of non-MISUMI items)
- Drawing(s)

This form can also be completed online. Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate your requirements, our manufacturing capability and/or the availability of materials or blanks may preclude us from being able to satisfy your request.

Do you have stock items?

We currently stock 5,600 items at our QCT (Logistics Centre) outside Frankfurt for immediate dispatch to the UK, with delivery in 2 to 3 days. For items which are custom machined to your specifications, we need 6 to 8 days for delivery

How long does it take to get a quote?

Note that requests received after 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday (and 3:00 p.m. on Fridays), will not be processed until the following working day. Please contact our office if your request is urgent.

For standard items, we aim to provide you with a quote within a couple of hours of your initial request (or get back to you with information if there is a problem). For special items, allow at least 24 hours for a quote to be prepared. Note that requests received after our business hours (Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Orders received after 4:00 pm will not be processed until the following working day, please contact our office if your request is urgent

How do I place an order? Is there a special form to use?

You can simply fax us your PO on +44 (0) 1784 466695. There is no particular form but please include the following:
- Company name and full shipping address,
- Your PO number,
- Billing address (if different from Shipping address),
- Contact Person with Phone & Fax numbers, and email address,
- Product(s) to be ordered and quantity using the MISUMI catalogue no.,
- and whether you want all the items shipped together if the items you are ordering have different shipping dates..

I did not get an SO Confirmation for my order. How can I make sure that my order has been processed?

You should receive your confirmation the next day, if your order is received during our business hours. If you do not get your confirmation within 12 hours, call our customer service team under +44 (0) 1784 465530 to find out whether the order has been received. To help us locate your order faster, state your PO number, order date, and ordered item(s). DO NOT send your order again to avoid duplicate orders.

How long does it take to deliver from your warehouse to our location?

Generally, we ship with UPS. It depends on which shipping method you choose. For UPS transit time, go to the UPS home page, and follow the link to Transit Time. Entering "65824" as the ZIP code for sender place, your ZIP code as well as the average weight, you will be able to find delivery dates and times for your location.

What shipping method will be used to deliver my order?

The default shipping method is UPS Ground or Air. Specify when ordering if you prefer another method.

Can I expedite the shipment?

You can expedite your shipment as long as the product has not yet been shipped. Contact us immediately if you need to change the shipping method. If you need to expedite production, you can specify Express Service at the time of order. The availability of Express Service varies by product.

How can I get a tracking number for my shipment?

Try Track a Shipment for a UPS shipment, or contact our customer service. Please wait until the day after the scheduled shipping date to allow the information to appear in our system.

How much is the shipping charge?

For deliveries within the UK we charge a fixed delivery charge of £6.99 (excluding some exceptional items such as metal plates or other very heavy items). For non UK deliveries we charge a fixed delivery fee as follows:

  • Ireland £15 / €25
  • Nordic Countries and Italy £30 / €50
  • All remaining countries £20 / €33.33
