Shaft collars

At MISUMI you will find a whole range of various set and shaft collars. You can choose from more than 40 construction types. They are available made from steel, stainless steel or an aluminium alloy depending on the version. The surface treatments available are: burnished, chemically nickel-plated and anodised.

MISUMI shaft collars

Set collars are suitable for uses with low requirements and weak axial forces. During assembly, the screws should aimed at a surface and not at the curvature of the shaft as this may cause the curve to become deformed.

Shaft collars are available as split into one or two parts.

One-part collars are generally used for every-day requirements and moderate axial forces. There are no punctiform screw marks left on the shaft surface due to excessive pressure. In cases of increased clamping forces, the collar must remain nestled against the shaft (high static friction).

Versions split into two parts can be mounted radially and are therefore ideally suited to fast installation in the case of axially fixed shafts.

Shaft collars with sensor mounting

MISUMI offers special shaft collar versions for the mounting of sensors. These provide mounting areas with the corresponding holes so that sensors can be fixed to them. Various versions offer mounting holes on cutting surfaces, key surfaces and lateral surfaces.

Shaft collars with special shapes

With parallel key groove (1): This type of clamp collar secures discs and wheels with a continuous groove.

Bearing support collars (2) axially fix the inner bearing collar, securely and accurately. The bearings are fixed using the small pad collar and the conical or stepped side.

Clamp collars with clamp lever (3) enable you to quickly change the collar position using the lever.

Clamp collars with hinge (4) with diameters of 10 to 30mm can be folded around the shaft.

A PU dampener disc (5) acts as a stopper for impact protection on a linear shaft.
